2019 U19 ASIA CUP

Sri Lanka’s hopes of making it to the 2019 Under-19 Asia Cup final was dashed by rain causing the abandonment of the Sri Lanka versus India semi final match at the  P. Saravanamuththu International Stadium yesterday as well as the semi final match between Afghanistan and Bangladesh at the De Soysa Stadium.

Both matches were called off by 2.15 p.m.following a heavy downpour for several hours last morning. With the outfields waterlogged it put paid to any chances of a late start compelling the umpires to abandon the two semi finals.

Reigning champions India will take on a Strong Bangladesh tomorrow at the R. Premadasa International Stadium.
