Lahiru Madushanka came to the party in Bloomfield’s early 7-wicket wrap up of Chilaw Marians as the gangling right-hand all-rounder smashed an unbeaten 54 runs off 21 balls lampooned by 4 to the stands and 5 across the ropes in a rain restricted 8-over SLC Major Clubs T20 Group B match at the CCC Grounds yesterday.

Madushanka’s telling knock helped Bloomfield cross the Marians 66 for 4 wickets in the 8 overs with 11 balls to spare.
Chilaw Marians top scorer was Kasun Vidura an unbeaten 26 off 14 balls inclusive of 3 boundaries and a six.

His innings was more the remarkable having taken strike following Chilaw Marians Sammu Asjhan striking two quick blows removing both openers Janith Liyanage and Hsitha Amarasinghe for first ball ducks, trapping the former leg before wicket and going on to clean bowl the latter.
