Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) recently organized a specialized training program for club and provincial trainers and physiotherapists, aimed at elevating performance standards across domestic cricket.

The session was led by renowned test and measurement specialist Anup Adhikari, who holds a Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology from the University of Calcutta.

As part of SLC’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its domestic cricket ecosystem, local clubs were recently equipped with advanced performance-enhancing tools such as skinfold calipers and pocket radars with smart displays.

Dr. Adhikari’s workshop focused on enhancing the practical skills of participants in utilizing these devices effectively.

The session saw participation from SLC’s own trainers, members of the physiotherapy department, and personnel from club and Super Provincial teams, underscoring SLC’s collective push towards a more scientific and performance-based cricket culture.
