Nipun Dananjaya n.o. 91, Kavindu Nadeeshan 4/17 as Sri Lanka rout West Indies by 130 runs

Sri Lanka captain Nipun Dananjaya scored a brilliant unbeaten 91 off 98 balls and leg spinner Kavindu Nadeeshan claimed 4 wickets for 17 runs in trouncing the West Indies by 130 runs in the sixth match of the Tri-Nation Under-19 Tournament played at Coolidge in the West Indies on Friday December 14.

Dananjaya, who was adjudged Player of the Match, struck 6 sixes and 2 boundaries in his scorching knock in setting the tempo for a Sri Lankan victory totaling a commanding 234 for 9 wickets in 50 overs. R. Rasantha contributed with 43 off 59 balls inclusive of 4 boundaries and a six while D.S.Thilakaratne made 27.

When the West Indies batted Nadeeshan wrought havoc having the host team in a spin as they were shot out for 104 in 34.4 overs with Thilakaratne lending fine support taking 3 for 10.
