Dasun Shanaka a captain’s knock of 112 in SSC’s 332

SLC MAJOR LEAGUE TIER ‘A’ PLATE CHAMPIONSHIP

Skipper Dasun Shanaka dazzled with a 144-ball 112 inclusive of10 boundaries and 4 sixes to lift SSC to 332 in 76.2 overs in their Plate match against Lankan CC after being put in to bat at the Colts CC Grounds on Sunday on the opening day of the second week’s matches.

He was associated in a 113-fifth wicket alliance with Sammu Ashan who struck an 86-ball 54 inclusive of 6 boundaries and a six.

Lankan CC skipper Chanaka Ruwansiri took 3 wickets for 53 while C.M.K.K. Wijeratne  and Dunith Wellalage returned figures of 3 for 93 and 3 for 97 respectively

Meanwhile, Badureliya totaled 267 against Negombo CC on a top score of 57 off 129 balls by Dunith Jayatunga who hit 4 boundaries and a six while M.S.U.
