CCC skipper Malindu Madurange 73 off 45 in 7-wkt. win over Kandy Customs

CCC coasted to a comprehensive 7-wicket triumph over Kandy Customs CC closing on 117 for 3 wickets spearheaded by an unbeaten 73 off 45 balls inclusive of 7 sixes and 3 boundaries by skipper Malindu Madurange in the SLC Major Club Under-23 50-Over Tournament match played at the CCC grounds on Monday. Omesh Mendis chipped in with 21 with 2 boundaries and a six.

The match which was rescheduled from Sunday to Monday saw CCC bundle out Kandy Customs for 116 in 44.3 overs in a match which was reduced to 48 overs per side. Doing the damage with the ball for CCC was Suwath Mendis who took 4 wickets for 37 runs. Rashmika Madushanka top scored for Kandy Customs with 41 hitting 4 boundaries and a six while Thimira Malshan made 31 helping himself to 2 sixes.
