AFTER SIX DAYS OF SLC MAJOR CLUB U23 50-OVER TOURNEY

SSC’s Nipun Dananjaya and Amshi de Silva took the honours as the leading batsman and bowler after the completion of the first six matches in the ongoing Sri Lanka Cricket Major League Under-23 50-Over Tournament.
Dananjaya took the top spot among the batsmen having aggregated 276 runs from 5 matches showcased by 3 half centuries while his colleague Amshi de Silva had collected 13 wickets from 5 outings in taking the top spot among the bowlers.
In the batting, in second place was Tamil Union C&AC’s Ravindu Fernando with 253 runs from 5 games and having had the honour of becoming the second batsman to hit a century thus far in the tournament. The first to top thed century board was Kamindu Mendis of the Marians CC and Bishan Mendis of the Army SC was the third centurion.
In the bowling, in second place behind Amshi de Silva was Savindu Colombage of the Tamil Union C&AC and Nipun Lakshan of Nugegoda S&WC in third place with 12 wickets apiece respectively.
