At the CCC grounds, Colts CC downed Sri Lanka Air Force SC by 50 runs in a Group B match. Put into bat, Colts went on a run assault – 177 for 8 off 20 overs and shot out the SL Air Force SC for 127 in 18.4 overs.

Colts CC’s win was spearheaded by a fantastic 16-ball 44 by No. 6 Jehan Daniel who smote 3 sixes and 4 boundaries and No.5 Dhananjaya Lakshan 31 off 17 (1×4, 3×6) after upfront, openers Sangeeth Cooray 37 off 35 (3×4, 1×6) and Heshan Dhanushka 25 off 20 (5×4) had scripted 45 together. Skipper Priyamal Perera struck 23 off 17. The pick of the bowlers for SL Air Force SC was Lasanda Rukmal with 3 for 38.

Badureliya did well to defeat the more fancied Galle CC by 5 wickets with 25 balls to spare in a Group A match of the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) T20 Tournament fixture on Sunday at the P. Saravanamuththu Stadium. Having opted to field on winning the toss, Badureliya restricted Galle to 114 for 9 in 20 overs on a superb haul of 5 for 19 by pace bowler Nimanda Madushanka, and made light of the target reaching 115 for 5 off 15.5 overs on a 30-ball 55 upfront by opener Tillakaratne Sampath inclusive of 7 boundaries and 2 sixes.

At CCC grounds, NCC thumped Lankan CC by 120 runs in a Group B match on a total of 169 for 6 and bundling out their opponents for 49 runs in 13.1 overs. It was set up by Dineth Jayakody and Angelo Perera who struck 57 runs apiece with the demolition completed by Chamika Gunasekara 3 for 5, Chamika Karunaratne 3 for 9 and Ashian Daniel 2 for 5.

Meanwhile, SSC outshone Moors SC by 3 wickets with 3 balls to spare in a Group C match at the FTZ Complex, Katunayake. The match winners were Nimanda Madushanka who took 5 for 19 and Nuwanidu Fernando who struck an unbeaten  46-ball 61 (3×4, 2×6)  and Krishan Sanjula 50 off 43 (3×4, 1×6).

In a Group D match at the NCC grounds, Ragama CC won by a whisker over Tamil Union C&AC holding their nerve as wickets fell all round inching to 119 for 8 off 20 overs having dismissed the opposition for 118 in 19.1 overs.

In a Group D match at NCC grounds, Sri Lanka Army SC registered an easy 7 wicket win over Panadura SC who were shot out for 75 in 17.3 overs with , Yasoda Mendis claiming 3 for 14, Maheesh Theekshana 2 for 11 and Seekkuge Prasanna 2 for 18. Asela Gunaratne struck an unbeaten 31 and Dushan Vimukthi 22 as SL Army SC finished on 76 for 3 off 11.2 overs.
