Sri Lanka was bundled out for a paltry 169 on the opening day of the first Test by the West Indies who had replied with 13 for no loss at Antigua yesterday.
Only opening batsman Lahiru Thirimanne came good with a 70-run knock off 180 balls inclusive of 4 boundaries and wicket-keeper batsman Niroshan Dickwella who made 32 off 76 with 2 boundaries after West Indies won the toss and put Sri Lanka into bat. Skipper Dimuth Karunaratne fell for 12 caught by Campbell off Cornwall while No.3 batsman Oshada Fernando was run out for 4 and next man in Dinesh Chandimal also went for 4 caught by Da Silva off Holder while Dhananjaya de Silva made 13 bowled by Roach and debutant Pathum Nissanka at no. 6 went for 9 caught Holder bowled Roach.The Lankans came a cropper against Jason Holder who took 5 for 27 and Kemar 3 for 47.
