Shevon Daniel starred with an unbeaten 85 as Sri Lanka Under-19 registered a third successive win by three-wickets over Bangladesh Under-19 for a series clinching 3-nil lead in the Youth One Day International on Wednesday.
Chasing Bangladesh’s total of 184, Daniel set the tone in a composed knock containing 7 boundaries and a six. He shared in a third wicket partnership of 75 with Pawan Pathiraja who made 31. He went on to add an unfinished 66-run eigth wicket partnership with Wanuja Sahan who made 38 which proved decisive to the victory.
Bangladesh Under-19 innings floundered on 71 7 before recovering to 184 on an unbeaten 54 by Ashikur Zaman.
