Sri Lanka Cricket

Rain was a spoiler on the fourth and final day saving the day for Sri Lanka A who were just 10 runs on having followed on in the drawn second Unofficial Test at the Pallekelle International Stadium on Sunday. Sri Lanka who were shot out for 67 in the first innings, were 317 for 6 thanks to a timely unbeaten 151 by    Skipper Sadeera Samarawickaram filled with 26 boundaries and a six and opening batsman Kamil Mishara who made 98 off 168 balls inclusive of 15 boundaries.

Samarawickrama shared in a third wicket partnership of 143 runs with Mishara. Mishara fell 2 short of a well-deserved century when he was dismissed by Khurram Shahzad to a catch by Mohammad Haris.

The first test in the 2-match series was also drawn.

The two sides will meet in three ODIs, the first of which commences on November 10 at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium.
