The cricket will shift to the 3-match ODI home series between Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe commencing on January 16 at the Pallekelle International Stadium.
Zimbabwe national team arrived in the country in tge early hours of today. The other ODIs in the day-night series are scheduled for January 18 and 21. The series will be worked out strictly under closed doors with no spectator intake in conformity with the anti-COVID-19 health guidelines.
Sri Lanka will go out strong favourites on a sound record of 44 wins to Zimbabwe’s 11 with two no- results from 57 exchanges. The Zimbabweans also carry the handicap of lying at the bottom of the points table of the ICC ODI team rankings.
