Sri Lanka’s opening batsman Pathum Nissanka probably played the innings of his lifè a 53-ball 73 in the short format in rallying his side to a tie in the second T20 versus Australia at the Sydney Cricket Grounds on Sunday. But the euphoria was short lived as the Lankans victory hopes were blown off in the super over with Australia prevailing scoring 9 off three deliveries to Sri Lanka’s 5. Australia, put into bat, made 164 for 6 to which Sri Lanka replied with 164 for 8.
Josh Inglis and Aaron Finch paired for the Australia as against Pathum Nissanka and Dasun Shanaka for Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka would of course, be ruffled by the bad umpiring in the final over of not calling an obvious wide which showed up the partisan attitude by Aussie umpires.
