Oshada Fernando continued his superb form top scoring with 97 while opening batsmen Kamil Mishara (74) and Lasith Croospulle (42) also tuned up with absorbing knocks as Kandy ran up 297 for 3 wickets against Dambulla on the opening day of the ongoing Sri Lanka Cricket National Super League Tournament on Thursday at the Pallekelle international Cricket Stadium on Thursday.

Oshada sttruck 7 fours and a six in his 135-ball knock. He added 147 off 239 balls for the second wicket with Kamil Mishara whose 150-ball knock contained 7 boundaries.

Mishara figured in a 58-run partnership off 68 balls for the first wicket with Croospulle who struck 7 boundaries. Skipper Kamindu Mendis added impetus to the innings striking a timely unbeaten 51 off 96 deliveries hitting 5 fours. Lahiru Udara was unbeaten on 22 at stumps. Malinda Pushpakumara took 2 for 80 and Pavantha Weerasinghe 1 for 44 for Dambulla.
