Galle’s openers Sangeeth Cooray and Pabasara Waduge hit unbeaten half centuries in giving their side a rousing start of 113 for no loss in reply to Jaffna’s 254 on the second day of the 4-day SLC National Super League Tournament match at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Stadium at Sooriyawewa, Hambantota on Friday.

Sangeeth Cooray was on a fluent 57 and Pabasara Waduge on an equal keel notching 51 with Galle looking pretty with all ten wickets intact to close on a further 141-run first innings deficit.

The pick of the Galle bowlers was Saminda Lakshan with a haul of 4 for 28 followed by Dilshan Madushka 3 for 51 and Chalana de Silva 2 for 72.
