SL Emerging Squad vs. Hampshire – Rain foils third day’s play

Incessant rain prevented any play on the third day of the Sri Lanka Development Squad versus Hampshire match at Southampton’s Rose Bowl yesterday.

Hampshire was on 252 for 5 wickets in reply to the Sri Lanka first innings total of 281 following the second day’s play.

The Lankan youth team on tour of England are on to their second fixture with one more of their scheduled four-day fixtures against English County sides. The Lankans led by Nipun Dhananjaya are also billed to play three T20 matches against English county sides.
