The Sri Lanka Cricket XI and Pakistan drew their 3-day warm up match that concluded at the Colts Grounds on Wednesday. The SLC XI did well to make 375 for 8 declared in reply to Pakistan’s 323 with Sadeera Samarawickrama scoring 91 off 99 balls hitting 13 boundaries and Nuwanidu Fernando 78 off 177 with 4 boundaries and a six. The touring Pakistan’s responded with 178 for 2 on the final day with Ahadullah Shafique top scoring with 63 off 111 inclusive of 5 boundaries and 2 sixes.
Pakistan’s top scorer in the first innings was skipper Babar Azam with 88 off 113 balls hitting 8 boundaries and 4 sixes. Other main contributors were Aghha Salman 55 off 79 with 3 boundaries, Imam-ul-Haq and Azhar Ali 43 each (3×4 each) respectively, Muhammad Rizwan 31 off 65 (3×4) and Saud Shakeel 30 off 71 (3×4, 1×6).
Spin prodigy Lakshitha was the pick of the SLC bowlers claiming 4 for 85 off 24 overs.
