The Men’s Asia Cup 2022 Champions arrive in Sri Lanka tomorrow

The Men’s Asia Cup 2022 Champions will arrive in Sri Lanka tomorrow (13th September) for a grand welcome organized by Sri Lanka Cricket in collaboration with the Ministry of Sports and Dialog Axiata PLC, the Official National Team Sponsor of Sri Lanka Cricket.
The National Team, led by Dasun Shanaka, will arrive in the country at 04.45 am and will be welcomed by Sri Lanka Cricket at the Bandaranaike International Airport with the presence of the officials of the Ministry of Sport.
The Director General of the Ministry of Sport, Mr. Amal Edirisooriya, and the Honorary Vice President of International Cricket of Sri Lanka Cricket, Dr. Jayantha Dharmadasa, will be among the officials present at the airport to welcome the team.
Following the welcome ceremony at the airport, the team will take part in a victory parade, which will be conducted along the normal route of Colombo–Katunayake.
The players will board a ‘Double-Decker’ bus from the airport to take part in the parade, whilst the team will engage with the fans on their way to Colombo.
The parade will commence at 06.30 am from the airport premises.
Sri Lanka Cricket wishes to invite the fans to gather in order to wish its cricketing heroes, who have won the Men’s Asia Cup 2022.
This is the 6th such occasion on which Sri Lanka has clinched the title.
