Kandy powered to a facile 279-run win over Colombo with a day to spare in a National Super League 2023 match played at the SSC Grounds today. Colombo, 184 runs in arrears on the first innings, flopped to 72 runs in the second innings to the spin of Lasith Embuldeniya who took 5 for 26. He was well supported by Ameshi de Silva, Atharagalla and Ashian Daniel who took 2 wickets apiece.
Embuldeniya rounded a fantastic performance with match figures of 10 for 86.
