Sri Lanka Test Captain Dimuth Karunaratne, senior player Angelo Mathews, and Head Coach Chris Silverwood applauded the “Radella” training facility, which was upgraded by Sri Lanka Cricket to help the team prepare for the upcoming Sri Lanka tour of New Zealand.
The National Teams’ fast bowling coach, Darshana Gamage, and fielding coach, Manoj Abeywickrema, also expressed their satisfaction with the new training facility.
They said the opportunity to conduct high-altitude training, the existence of similar climatic conditions to those found in New Zealand, and the pace, bounce, and movement provided by the pitches prepared in “Radella” have provided the team with an ideal preparation platform for the national team’s upcoming tour.
The Sri Lanka team, which began training at Radella on February 17th, will return to Colombo tomorrow, following the completion of a week-long training session.
