SSC trounced Police SC by 8 wickets in their Sri Lanka Cricket Major Clubs Limited Over Cricket Tournament match played at their home grounds yesterday. Having bundled out their opponents for 163 in 28.4 overs, SSC rattled 168 for 2 wickets in 27.1 overs in reaching the target in comprehensive style propelled by Shevon Daniel 46, Krishan Sanjula 44, Nipun Dhananjaya 27 with star batsman Dimuth Karunaratne applying the final charge with an unbeaten 46.
Meanwhile, of the other matches, taking top billing were Chilaw Marians who shot out Negombo CC for 47 to winning by 8 wickets at the At FTZ Complex, Katunayake while Ace Capital registered their second successive win routing the more fancied Tamil Union by 7 wickets at the at the P. Saravanamuththu International Stadium having shocked SSC in their previous encounter.
