Galle defeats Colombo North, Kandy get better of Dambulla in century filled day

Galle registered a 145-run win over Colombo North U17 by 145 runs in their fixture at Saliyapura in the SLC U17 Sri Lanka Youth League 2024 conducted by Sri Lanka Cricket on the fourth day of the tournament yesterday. Galle ran up 287 for 9 on a top score of 81 by Dulsithhh Darshana, and bowled out Colombo North for 142.

Meanwhile, Kandy U17 got to their first win in the tournament in defeating Dambulla by 25 runs on a fine century by skipper Kavija Gamage which was his second such in the tournament in a high scoring game with Dambulla’s Rajith Samarasinghe too reaching three figures – 121 in chasing Kandy’s massive 321. Dambulla made 294.
