Sri Lanka is gearing up for an exciting sporting extravaganza with the much-anticipated “Sri Lanka Sports Fiesta 2024” T10 Cricket Tournament. This event, powered by Dialog, promises a grand celebration of sports and entertainment, bringing together cricket enthusiasts from all over the country. The tournament will take place across three action-packed days, starting from the 16th of August and culminating in a thrilling final on the 18th of August.
Tournament Overview
The T10 Cricket series will feature four dynamic teams representing different regions of Sri Lanka: Colombo, Dambulla, Galle, Jaffna and Kandy. Each team is captained by the most renowned and talented cricketers in the country
Colombo – Charith Asalanka
Dambulla – Bhanuka Rajapakse
Galle – Dunith Wellalage
Jaffna – Janith Liyanage
Kandy – Niroshan Dickwella
Venues and Schedule
The matches will be held at two of Colombo’s iconic cricket grounds, the Bloomfield and Thurstan Grounds. These venues have a rich history of hosting memorable cricketing events, and they are all set to witness the fast-paced and high-octane T10 format.
The schedule is as follows:
16th August: The tournament kicks off with the opening matches, where all four teams will be in action, setting the stage for an intense competition.
17th August: The excitement continues with more matches as teams battle it out to secure a spot in the finals.
18th August: The final day will feature the much-awaited final match, where the two top teams will clash to claim the championship title.
