Sri Lanka A swept to the semi-finals of the Emerging Teams Asia Cup defeating Bangladesh A by 19 runs yesterday on a Player of the Match 3 for 23 by Dushantha Hemantha in defending a score of 161 for 7 at Oman’s Al Amerat Cricket Ground.
The decisive match saw the Lankan batsmen set up the win with Pavan Rathnayake top scoring with 42 off 26 (3,×4, ,2×6) followed by useful contributions from Lahiru Udara 35, Sahan Arachchige 30, Yashodha Lanka 23 and skipper Nuwanidu Fernando 19.
Dushan Hemantha led the Lankans victory charge shackling Bangladesh with a tight reign 3 wickets.
