Hambantota Bangla Tigers defeated Nuwara Eliya Kings by 7 wickets in a Lanka T10 Super League match played at the Pallekelle International Cricket Stadium.
Hambantota Bangla Tigers breezed to 81 for 3 with Kusal Janith Perera striking 33 off 15 balls inclusive of 4 boundaries and 2 sixes while Skipper Dasun Shanaka continued his good form in the tournament in the wake of his cameo half in their opening game scoring 20 off 10 balls with 3 boundaries and a six.
Young Shevon Daniel proved his versatility to any situation by an unbeaten 17 off 12 with a six and boundary in taking his side to victory together with Sabbir Rahman on 11 off 5 hitting 2 boundaries.
Nuwara Eliya Kings in batting first, made 82 for 6 off 8.1 overs with Benny Howell scoring 29 off 14 with 3 boundaries and a six and skipper Saurabh Tiwary making 26 off 20 with 3 boundaries and a six.
Hambantota’s Richard Gleeson returned fine figures of 3 wickets for 23 runs while Dhananjaya Lakshan, Isuru Udana and Tharindu Rathnayake took 1 wicket each respectively.
