Kandy defeated Dambulla by two wickets in the second semi final at Thurstan College grounds today to set up a final versus Colombo South tomorrow Friday in the Sri Lanka Cricket and Prima mega Under 15 Youth League 2024 at the same venue.

Having dismissed Dambulla for 153 in 49.5 overs, Kandy got home on 154 for 8 wickets in 31.2 overs.

Chanuth Jayasinghearachchi top scored for Kandy with a brisk 48 off 45 bells inclusive of 5 boundaries and 3 sixes with next best contributions from Chanul Kodithuwakku 38 off 20 balls with 5 boundaries and 2 sixes and Yanul Hewavitharana unbeaten on 29.

Dambulla’s top scorer was Akeiu Sujayana with 38 off 78 balls while Chamod Prabasara made 39 off 54 and Amal Perera 26 off 41 with 2 boundaries.
