Jaffna Titans Charith Asalanka struck a cameo 56 off 26 balls with 5 to the stands and a similar amount of boundaries and Kusal Mendis 37 off 19 with 6 boundaries and a six while 20-year old off spinner Traveen Mathew was once again impactful with the ball following up his 4 wickets in the previous game with three big wicker yesterday including the big wickets of Kamindu Mendis, Colombo Jaguar captain Angelo Mathews and Najibullar Zadran for their second successive win by 40 runs on a score of 138 for 6 wickets off 10 overs and containing their opponents to 98 for 6 in the 10 at the Pallekelle International Cricket Stadium on the second day of the Lanka T10 Super League.
Mathew, a product of St. Anthony’s, Katugastota, was tremendous for his age clean bowling all three of his victims namely the prize wicket of Kamindu Mendis for 7, veteran batsman and namesake Angelo Mathews for 3 and Zadran for 17.
