Badureliya were on 240 for 6 wickets in reply to Negombo CCs first innings score of 263 at stumps of the second day of their 3-day SLC Major League fixture played at the Galle International Cricket Stadium.
Ranesh Silva top scored for Badureliya with 66 off 110 balls hitting 6 boundaries while opening batsman Dunith Jayatunga set the pace with a 91-ball 59 inclusive of 7 boundaries followed by Gihan Koralage’s 46 off 132 slamming 2 over the top.
Upul Indrasiri was the pick of Negombo CCs bowlers claiming 3 wickets for 75 runs.
Negombo who were 244 for 9 on the opening day, added a further 14 runs to their overnight scoreon resumption.
Badureliya’s Chalana de Silva claimed 3 wickets for 67 and Chanaka Komasaru 3 for 80.
