Panadura defeated Kurunegela YCC by 2 wickets in an SLC Major Clubs T20 Group A match at CCC Grounds yesterday.
In a shot for shot high scoring affair, Panadura rattled 162 for 8 off 17.4 overs to going past Kurunegela’s 160 for 8 off 18 overs in the rain curtailed 18-over game with Oshada Fernando leading the way for Panadura with a solid 44 off 27 hitting 3 sixes and a boundary with Vishen Halambage striking 23 off just 7 balls powered by 3 sixes and a boundary in that frontline hammering. Eranga Jayakodyge followed up the good work with 48 off 30 with 2 over the top and 4 across.

Kurunegela YCC owed it to opener Leo Franscisco’s 44-ball 63 sowrd edged by 6 over the top and 2 boundaries in the160 for 8 total, but his great innings was hijacked by te Oshada Fernando led chase by Panadura SC.

Meanwhile, Police SC got the better of Nugegoda Sports Sports and Welfare Club by 8 wickets reaching 90 for 2 off 9.3 overs in going past their opponents 87 for 5 in rain restricted 13-over game at Colts Grounds.
