Veteran Angelo Mathews fired Colts CC to an easy 7 wicket win over BRC in their Major League Clubs T20 Tournament fixture played at SSC grounds yesterday.

Mathews struck a quick-fire unbeaten 30 off 20 balls inclusive of 3 boundaries and a six as Colts romped to 74 for 3 in 11.1 overs in response to BRC’s 73 all out in 14.4 overs after Akila Dananjaya continued his superb form with his off spin this season with a 3 wicket haul or 18 runs well supported by pacer Dilshan Madushka 2 for 11 and Dhananjaya Lakshan 2 for 10.

With Mathews at the wickets in that triumph was Dunith Wellalage unbeaten on 18 off 22 hitting 2 boundaries in the wake of Sangeeth Cooray’s 18 upfront.
