Tamil Union trounced Police SC by 7 wickets on the revised DLS method in the Sri Lanka Cricket Major Club T-20 cricket fixture played at Colts grounds yesterday.

Having batted first and posted 108 in 18.5 overs on a run a ball top score of 42 by Sri Lanka U19 star batsman Sharujan Shanmuganathan on his debut for the club, leg spinner Sachitha Jayatillaka decimated Police SC for 101 in 18.3 overs claiming 3 wickets for 6 runs in 2.3 overs.

Meanwhile, Halambage 32 and Sasindu Malshan unbeaten on 28 guided Panadura SC to an easy 5-wicket win over Ace Capital CC with 8 balls to spare in closing on a rain reduced revised target of 101 in 16 overs after restricting Ace Capital CC to 99 for 7 wickets in 16.4 overs.

Four of yesterday’s matches were rain abandoned without a ball being bowled.
