Ace Capital CC amassed 378 for 8 wickets against Colombo Malay CC with Pawan Pathiraja striking a hectic 153 off 205 balls filled with 17 boundaries and 3 sixes on the opening day of their Sri Lanka Cricket U23 Emerging Club Tournament 2-day fixture at Air Force Grounds at Katunayake. Colombo Malay CC were 25 for no loss at stumps.

Having won the toss and elected to bat Ace Capital was given a fine start by Tanuja Rajapakse who stroked 53 and Theeraka Ranatunga 47 while Ramesh Silva chipped in with 45.

Malay CCs Niman Umesh took 3 wickets for 90 runs.
