Isula Niduwara struck an unbeaten 51 in guiding Moratuwa Sports Club to a strong position of 170 for 4 wickets in reply to Navy Sports Club’s first innings 158 on the opening day of their Sri Lanka Cricket U23 Emerging Clubs 2-day Tournament match played at Navy Grounds, Welisara on Saturday.
Batting first, Navy was dismissed for 158 in 36.3 overs with Ridma Colombage top scoring with 37 with other contributions from Sumalka Fernando 27 and Uvindu Perera and Dinosh Jelon 23 apiece respectively.
Moratuwa’s main wicket takers were Ushan Sathsara 3 for 17 and Chamindu Sewmina 3 for 37.
