Kandy defeated Galle by 85 runs having run up an imposing 228 for 6 wickets in 50 overs and dismissing their opponents for 143 in 47.4 overs a day ago in a Sri Lanka Cricket-Prima Under15 match at the Mercantile Cricket Association Grounds.

Leading the way for Kandy was Imanjith Dissanayake who struck an unbeaten 57 runs off 50 balls with 2 boundaries and 6 sixes with opening batsman Randidu Narayana compiling an as compatible 53 off 104 deliveries with a boundary and 2 sixes.

Randidu posted 88 runs for the third wicket with Saniru Anuhas who made 35.

Galle buckled for 143 against the two pronged 3-wicket apiece Thinulka Rajapaksha and Lakindu Mewul well supported by Imanjith Disssanayake’s 2 wickets with the latter capping a fine all-round performance.
