Sri Lanka clinch bowl title at HK Sixes

Sri Lanka, led by Lahiru Madushanka, clinched the bowl title at Hong Kong Sixes Cricket Tournament defeating the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by 21 runs in the final held on Sunday.
In a straight run of success from start to finish on a high note of thrashing India which had a disastrous tournament shocked by the UAE, Sri Lanka ended the UAE’s praiseworthy tournament title bid on a 106 for 2 thrust taking first lease in the six overs and restricting the Arab nation to 85 for 2 wickets.

Sachitha Jayathilake set up the victory with a fine unbeaten 52 runs.

Sri Lanka on the way made light of India by a 48 runs victory margin to making it to the finals. Openers Lahiru Samarakoon Lahiru Madushanka both scored unbeaten half-centuries as Sri Lanka posted an imposing 138 runs for no loss to which the Indians could muster only 90 for 3 in response.
