Sri Lanka U19 Women made short shrift of the touring Malaysia Women by 5 wickets in the first of the T20 5 match series at the NCC Grounds.
The local girls displayed their prowess in undoing the Malaysian national team by scoring 113 for 5 wickets off 18 overs in overhauling their opponent’s 110 for 7 with opener Vimoksha Balasooriya leading the way with a solid unbeaten 53. Limnu Tillakaratne remained unbeaten on 13.
Malaysia’s Aisya Eleesa claimed 2 wickets for 38.
