CCCs Nishan Madushka struck a mammoth 183 off 343 balls CCC containing 13 boundaries as CCC amassed 404 for 9 wickets declared against Bloomfield C&AC on the second day of the SLC Major Club Cricket Tournament yesterday at the Galle International Cricket Stadium.
Bloomfield were 5 for wicket at stumps off 2.3 overs. Resuming from their overnight score of 156-4, CCC went on to make a formidable score of 404 for the loss of nine wickets before declaring. Wijesinghe contributed with 72 runs.

Meanwhile, Wanuja Sahan led Ace Capital’s fightback against NCC in striking an unbeaten 120 in a total of 288 for 9 in reply to their opponents 333 at the SSC Grounds on the second day’s play.

Elsewhere, the young skipper of Colts CC Dunith Wellalage was really unlucky to miss a golden dream hundred by one run in a leash with the experienced Dinesh Chandimal who made 61 in a total of 239 for 6 in reply to Police SC’s 317 at Sooriyawewa.

The second day also stood in Nugegoda S&WC leading Chilaw Marians at the NCC Grounds while BRC was in control over Kurunegala Youth CC att the Surrey Village Grounds in Maggona.
