Chilaw Marians made merry on a mammoth first innings 505 for 6 wickets with Kasun Vidura leading the way in the distinction of striking a coveted dream unbeaten double century with Sammu Ashan too reaching his zenith with the bat in a three figure anointing in a high scoring Sri Lanka Cricket Major League Plate fixture versus Tamil Union whose 469 led to a listless draw at Maggona with the Marians grabbing first innings honours on the final day Monday.

Vidura’s unbeaten 200 off 317 balls was packed with 14 boundatdries and 2 sixes while Ashan made a forceful 146 off 313 balls hitting 10 boundaries.
