CCCs Pavan Rathnayake stepped up the upswing of the week’s batting heroics brutalizing the Moors SC attack by a record 221 off 216 balls in a 561 total on the second day of the Sri Lanka Cricket’s Major Clubs Super Eight Tournament at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium as the day was further livened up by NCCs Kamil Mishara realizlng his century works of yesterday in a career best 187 off 192 culmination as veteran former Sri Lanka Captain Dinesh Chandimal joined in the run flow by a terrific 144 off 177 in a NCC score of 431 against Colts CC at the Pallekelle International Cricket Stadium, and BRCs Pramod Maduwantha got into the century act by a peach 166 off 281 in a 475 score versus Bloomfield C&AC in that heightening over at the Galle International Cricket Stadium.
Moors SC had salvaged the day versus CCC to a point reaching 108 for 2 wickets at stumps while Colts did not have things to their liking on 280 for 6 while BRC had Bloomfield struggling on 129 for 4.
