The Player Draft of the Lanka Premier League 2026 will be held on 1st June 2026 in Colombo.
A total of 421 players will enter the Player Draft of the tournament’s 6th edition, comprising 179 Sri Lankan players and 242 overseas players.
The 179 Sri Lankan players will include National, Domestic and Emerging players all of whom will be available for selection at the draft.
The draft will feature multiple categories, namely Platinum, Gold, Classic, Emerging, and Associate Stars.
The Player Draft of the 6th edition of the Lanka Premier League 2026 will commence at 1.30 p.m. and will be attended by all franchise owners and team management.

Hon. Sunil Kumara Gamage, Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports will attend the player draft as the Chief Guest.
Members of the Cricket Transformation Committee and SLC Officials will be present at the Draft.
The Lanka Premier League 2026 will be played from 17th July to 8th August 2026.
