The following players were unavailable for selection on medical grounds.

1. Lahiru Kumara is currently undergoing rehabilitation after sustaining a Grade 1 strain to his right hamstring.
2. Vishwa Fernando experienced a recurrence of right-sided lower back, trunk, and hip pain while bowling in the warm-up match.
   Although he has shown steady improvement over the past week, Fernando has not yet fully recovered and remains unavailable for selection.
3. Ramesh Mendis is recovering from a bacterial infection contracted during the tour.
4. Pathum Nissanka experienced persistent wrist pain following the first Test match and was advised to undergo surgery.
   Accordingly, Nissanka departed for the United Kingdom on 30 June 2026 to undergo the surgical procedure.
