The Sri Lanka Women’s Cricket Team lost the second T20 to Australia with the hosts romping home by 9 wickets in just 9.4 overs at the North Sydney Oval yesterday. It gave the hosts a 2-nil lead and the series with one more match to be played.
The Sri Lanka Women’s Team lost their way following skipper Chamari Atapattu running herself out for 16 to a direct hit by Georgia Wareham on a day Australia plugging the Lankan captain’s strong scoring areas. It was a forceful performance by the Australian lasses in the match under lights on a cold day. Sri Lanka was never in the contest having opted to bat first.
