SLC INVITATIONAL T20 LEAGUE

SLC Reds got off to a rousing start defeating SLC Greys by 6 wickets in the tournament opener yesterday at the R. Premadasa International Stadium. The Reds breezed to 121 for 4 to win with 19 balls to spare after having restricted the Greys to 120 for 9 off 20.

Lasith Croospulle struck a 44-ball 54 studded with 8 boundaries and skipper Kusal Mendis 34 off 30 packed with 3 sixes as the duo put on 88 for the first wicket. (PARA 2) Reds fast bowler Asitha Fernando produced a superb performance claiming 4 for 22 to pocket the Player of the Match award.
