Reds ran up 178 for 4 wickets off 20 overs and restricted the Blues to 145 for 6 off 20.

The Reds victory was forged by a telling upfront 86 off 60 by skipper Kusal Mendis who smashed 10 boundaries and a six. The Blues skippered by Dhananjaya de Silva sitting in for Charith Asalanka, was kept in check by the tight Reds attack with Sadeera Samarawickrama top scoring with 40 off 48 (4×4).
