Australia U19 Women defeated the Sri Lanka U19 Women by 88 runs propelled by a fine all-round performance by Lucy Hamilton who scored 80 in a total of 228 off 48.5 overs batting first, and claimed 3 wickets for 18 runs as the hosts were bowled out for 140 in 44 overs in a Tri Nation Series Women’s U19 fixture played at the Galle International Cricket Stadium yesterday.
Sanjana Kavindi struck a fluent 54 followed by Hiruni Hansika’s next best score of 22 and Rashmi Nethranjali 16, but the Lankan lasses were outplayed by a well knitted all-round display by their Aussie counterparts.
