West Indies Women hit the winning board defeating the Sri Lanka Women by an emphatic 6 wickets in the second T20 to drawing level 1-all in the 3-match series. The visitors chasing a revised target of 99 in 15 overs on the DLS made 99 for 4 wickets in 14.1 overs in a rain affected game after the hosts made 89 for 4 in 15.2 overs at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium yesterday.
Stafanie Taylor struck 28 off 26 balls and skipper Hayley Matthews 29 in sharing in a cornerstone 44 off 6.5 overs for the first wicket while Afy Fletcher shone with the ball claiming 4 wickets for 23 in the Lankan innings.
