National Development centre

Sri Lanka Cricket has been the stamp of authority on local cricketing map under the mandate of Ministry of Sports and is focused on upholding the cricketing heritage of the country.

Objective

Provide an opportunity for every Sri Lankan to represent his motherland and bring glory to the game of cricket

Objectives - Long Term

Upgrade the level of Coaches, Umpires, Scorers and Curators
Organizing age group Cricket Tournaments Island wide, specially enabling the selectors to pick up talent from remote areas
Setting up District Centers in the Island with District offices
Organize fund raising projects in Provinces
Organizing inbound National Tournaments with the participation of respective Provinces
Manage and monitor all International and Domestic venues of SLC

Objectives - Short Term

Provide all Infrastructure Facilities to:

Test Venues (International)
Representative Venues (Domestic)
Premier and Sara Clubs
Districts and Provinces

Create a methodical and effective Coaching System
Provide cricket materials and other basic requirements to schools and districts
Provide Concrete Side Nets, Gravel Wickets, Score Boards and Sight Screens specially to remote areas
Provide Indoor Nets
Provide Outdoor Nets with lighting facilities
Provide facilities to play with pink colored balls
