The continuing incessant rains that have bugged the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Sri Lanka segment of matches at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium, forced the Pakistan versus Sri Lanka match in the Women’s Cricket World Cup to be abandoned.
Just 4.2 overs of play was possible with Pakistan reaching 18 for no loss in a match reduced to 34 overs before the rains washed out any further play.
The 2025 World Cup campaign for both countries, thus ended on a damp note.
